On 7 May 2020, Speaker of Parliament Mr Tan Chuan-Jin spoke from the sidelines of an event for migrant worker dorms with regards to the spread of COVID-19 amongst the dormitory community. On 4 May 2020, Minister of Manpower Josephine Teo responded to the COVID-19 pandemic.
