Every year, anime and manga fans wait in anticipation for one of the largest cosplay events in the world. This year, World Cosplay Summit 2018 is back for a nine-day run from 28 July to 5 August 2018, and will be held in Nagoya, Japan.
Despite the origins of cosplay tracing back to Japanese roots, this festival will largely be international, where cosplay enthusiasts from all over the world can come together in celebration of this art form.
The summit will kick off on the first day with an opening ceremony and conclude with the World Cosplay Championship 2018, where only one winning country team will walk home victorious.
You can expect fringe activities during the period in between as well, such as photography sessions, night parades and parties.
So don’t let your Naruto costume sit in your wardrobe any longer, meet fellow fans and cosplay it out this July and August!
Dates: 28 July – 5 August 2018
