Since the release of Enola Holmes on Netflix, I’m reminded about my deep-seated love for mysteries. The meticulous hunting for clues and then finally stringing all the disparate pieces together and shouting ‘j’accuse’ rather dramatically. From 12 December 2020 till 13 June 2021, the famous Orient Express will be making a pit stop on the West Lawn of Gardens by the Bay. This Pop-Up attraction, ‘Once Upon A Time on The Orient Express’ will trace the legacy of this famous train with artefacts and documents that showcase the heritage of the Orient Express.
For the first time, two original 1930 train carriages and a 158-year-old locomotive will be shipped from France for our viewing pleasure.
So, you can imagine yourself aboard this historic train and relive the luxury of travel all those years ago. That’s not all, if you’ve watched or read A Murder on the Orient Express, you know these carriages are oozing with intrigue and exciting entanglements. With their Escape Room Experience, you can try your hand working a detective case.
After all that, if you are feeling peckish then you can dine in the restaurant car for either breakfast, lunch or dinner to experience a bespoke menu—doesn’t that sound tantalising? Tickets are going for S$25 a pop and tickets go on sale 2 October 2020.
Now, who there was nothing to do in Singapore?
