KFC Singapore Employs Colonel Sanders To Enforce Social Distancing In Restaurants

With Phase 2 in progress and Elections Day drawing near, the last few weeks have certainly been a lot for Singaporeans to take in. As you slowly resume dining-in at restaurants again, you may have noticed strict safe distancing measures in place—and some creative ways at that.

If you loved the way stuffed capybaras force diners to social distance in this zoo cafe in Japan, you’ll also like this local iteration of that. Colonel Sanders—yes, the man of KFC himself—will personally be there to gaze lovingly at you as you chomp on your juicy fried chicken.

Spot the legendary Colonel in different cut-out forms—the OG Sanders, a cartoon rendition, and even an anime version of the man to whom we all owe the glorious fried chicken recipe. Be prepared to be graced with an additional presence as you chow down on your sinfully delightful meal.

If you’d already been planning to dine alone, then all the better—an opportune time for Mr Sanders to keep you company on a Monday lunch date.

Don’t forget to air-five him on your way out for all the hard work he’s been putting in to keep diners at a safe distance. Colonel Sanders will be in restaurants only until 6 July, so catch him while you still can.
