There aren’t a lot of reasons for anyone to travel all the way up the winding roads of Genting Highlands these days, but here’s two.
Held at The Ranch in Gohtong Jaya, Genting Highlands, it’s two full days of an eclectic ensemble of global and regional acts headlined by the likes of Phoenix, G-Eazy, The Kooks and Kodaline. So expect a little bit of punk, rap, electro and bubblegum goodness all in one.
As with most festivals, there are quite a number of things you’ll need to take note of. Firstly, you’re going to have to be 18 years or older to be allowed entry. There also won’t be any ATMs in the area once you get to The Ranch, so you’re going to want to bring ample cash.
With Malaysia sharing similar weather to us, you’re not going to want to be caught off guard in wet weather, so it’s a good time to be a little Kiasu/Kiasi and bring along a raincoat. Do also note that DSLR/SLR cameras are against the festival rules, however compact cameras are fine with the organisers.
The Ranch is approximately 11 minutes away from Genting Highlands by Cable Car. You’ll be glad to know that they’re providing complimentary cable car rides for festival goers. All you’ll have to do is flash your wristband.
Early-bird tickets have already been snapped up, but there are still plenty of bundled packages that you can choose from. There are stand alone tickets, tickets for the whole squad as well as tickets packaged with accommodation.
So get moving and get your tickets before they’re all gone.
