We’re merely a few weeks away from ushering in a whole new decade. That’s pretty wild. Before we go off and rejoice 2020, let’s take some time to pause, rewind and look back at the videos that made it to Singaporeans’ YouTube watchlists in 2019.
The world’s most popular online video community is back this year with YouTube Rewind. It brings together the biggest music, trends, memes, and characters from the past twelve months featuring today’s biggest YouTube stars and mainstream personalities.
The annual list of YouTube videos features what Singaporeans were watching the past year. There are two main lists for this are the Top trending YouTube Non-Music Videos and Top Trending YouTube Music Video lists.
Additionally, we’re in for a little treat. YouTube just launched the Most-Watched Creator Videos in Singapore, celebrating our homegrown channels who have produced inspiring, engaging and entertaining content #SupportLocal.
You would be touched to know that content from Asian artists and content creators have made it in both lists this year where local pride and Asian flavour were definitely present. This is evident in Singaporeans’ interest in Asian artists through the top trending music and non-music YouTube videos.

“YouTube Rewind is always a huge moment for us and a great way to end the year – so it’s an honour for me to have my channel top the list of Most Watched Creator Videos in Singapore for 2019 and for our new female-focused channel Ladies First to be ranked too!
Both achievements are very personal to me, about my marriage proposal and my wife’s pregnancy, and is a reflection of what a big part YouTube is of my life. It has been a huge year for us and topping this list is a testament to the hard work that my team and I have put into the videos. We are incredibly thankful to all our subscribers and partners for making this year a huge success in many ways. Wait till you see what we’re up to in 2020!” – Jianhao Tan, CEO of Titan Digital Media
