No more teasing – sacai x Nike have finally released close-ups of their newest collaboration after a series of social media teasers.
It will be an extension of the sacai x Nike LDWaffle line that was released earlier this September, as part of their fall collection. The newest pair of kicks are set to drop in February 2020 and make part of the Spring/Summer 2020 Nike collection.
The newest sneaker’s design is a casual but well-constructed mix of sophistication and rawness, characteristic of sacai’s distinct style. Unlike the other pairs of shoes in the line that boast more playful and solid hues, this shoe is the epitome of minimalism.
The shoe layers off-white panels over a clean white base, giving the shoe more depth and texture.
Just like other shoes released in September 2019, the shoe consists of double tongues, dual lacing and two swooshes across the lateral face of the shoes.
Along with the white kicks, the same design will also come in all black, with a white mid and outer sole.
The sacai X Nike LDWaffle “Black Nylon” is slated to release also in February of 2020 in selected Nike retail stores.
For the Fall/Winter 2019 collection, the Japanese streetwear label headed by Chitose Abe unveiled a line of athleisure that included windbreakers, sports bras and socks. The partnership was first established in 2015, with a quirky, fun take on the Air Max 95 and Air Jordan 1s.
The sacai x Nike LDWaffle White and Black Nylon are said to be retailed at USD$160 (S$219). Exact release dates are still to come, but most likely to be in February of 2020.
