I’m a huge dork for dinosaur documentaries since I was a kid, and my dream of seeing one ‘live’ is about to come true.

Walking With Dinosaurs – The Live Experience is roaring into the Singapore indoor stadium from 29 August onwards.
Based on the award-winning BBC series, this amazing arena show seen by millions features 18 life-sized dinosaurs that are masterfully controlled by electronic puppeteers.
The $20-million state-of-the-art production brings these 18 dinosaurs to life in what is touted as the “biggest and best dinosaur show in the world.”

Unlike the movie Jurassic Park, these dinosaurs for the live show have been researched carefully and depict the latest scientific evidence in the creatures’ designs. Several dinosaurs like the raptors, for example, now sport rudimentary feathers rather than just scales, which have been discovered to be a trait for some dinosaur species in recent years.
Although we can only imagine how these great creatures lived millions of years ago, Walking With Dinosaurs – The Live Experience will attempt to present as dynamically as possible what life was back in the Mesozoic Era.

Journey through the prehistoric times accompanied and hosted by the show’s fictitious palaeontologist, Huxley, a role shared by actors Dominic Rickhards and Andrew Lewis.
Check out the videos below for a more in-depth preview of the show.
Walking With Dinosaurs looks to be a must-see theatre experience you don’t get too often in Singapore.
As a huge fan of dinosaurs, I simply cannot wait to see the show. Although the audience won’t literally be ‘walking with dinosaurs’, this live show re-imagines the dinosaurs’ evolutionary passage through time till their eventual extinction via an apocalyptic meteor.
