With the sustaining streak of the spike in the number of infected COVID-19 cases in Singapore, SG Healthcare Corps has been set up to support the growing need for manpower in healthcare.
Anyone can join, as long as you are above the age of 18 years old. Also, it doesn’t matter if you are a former, practicing, or non-healthcare professional—there are areas you can lend a helping hand like administrative or supportive roles.
Simply indicate your interest in the portal and you will be called up to serve whenever there is a good match between your skill sets with the required needs. The current operational areas of deployment are expanded healthcare facilities, swab isolation facilities, and foreign worker dormitories.
Moreover, there are specific training packages that are provided to ensure volunteers are equipped for their role. Currently, while we applaud the healthcare workers who have worked tirelessly to help curb and manage the virus, there are approximately 3,000 former healthcare professionals who have come back to assume their previous role to fill the needs amidst this challenging time.
