It’s not every day that we get to enter the Istana Grounds and when the opportunity arises, there is simply no reason to say no.
This coming 29th January 2017 (also the 2nd day of the Lunar New Year), the Istana Grounds will be opening its gates to the public for the first time this year.
Through guided tours, visitors will get to learn about the flora, fauna and diversity within the Istana Grounds and also enjoy a variety of performances lined up.
Admission to the Istana Grounds is free for Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents. Other visitors however, will be required to pay a small entrance fee of $2. Entry to the Istana Main Building and the Guided Nature Walk will be charged separately (all proceeds will go to charity).
Those who are unable or unwilling to be part of the guided tour, we’ve got you covered. Download the Istana Garden Walk App on your smartphone and enjoy an interactive self-guided tour, using the various QR codes found around the grounds.
Make this year’s CNY extra special for you and your family with a trip to the Istana! Who knows, you might even get to see the President.
