They say never to judge a book by its cover, but we’re all guilty sometimes of judging someone by their appearance. On 1 December 2017, Human Library In The Dark lets you “borrow” a Human Book and talk to them, all under the gentle blanket of darkness.

Without sight, all you’ll have is their voice, and the story they have to share. The cover of darkness makes everything more intimate; you’ll feel closer to them as you listen to their life experiences without judgement or stereotypes.
And when the lights come on, will these Human Books match your expectations of them?

Head down to the Peranakan Museum for a casual evening of conversation, and learn a thing or two about the lives of others wildly different to you. Come with an open heart, and you’ll leave with more than a bellyful of stories.
Date & Time: 1 December 2017, 6pm – 8.30pm
