FRED PERRY SUBCULTURE LIVE returns on 13 October 2017 at the converted club space of the Esplanade Annexe Studio to celebrate the brand’s long history with music and street culture.
You’ll be immersed in heavyweight musical acts, vaporwave-inspired projections, Spotify incorporated code discoveries and interactive entertainment by PlayStation™ Music.
Helming the stage are some of the city’s brightest young music talents alongside Gary Powell, drummer of English rock band The Libertines, and a DJ set.
Homegrown shoegaze icons, Astreal, and up-and-coming indie rock outfit, The Betts, will complete the show. With glitch-like projections from Empyreal (Amanda Tan) painting the club into a dystopian disco, you’ll feel like you’re in a whole new age of technology.
Spotify will be displaying unique codes that accompany portraits and stories from icons and innovators of our time that will share their all-time and new favourite music instantly through the app.
PlayStation will be setting up a gaming room that will immerse oneself with interactive entertainment with the latest games alongside custom playlists that fit the vibe.
The event is by invite only so no trying your luck on the day of the event. However, you can register by 11 October 2017 to be part of this all-things-cool party happening the second Friday of October!
Date & Times: 13 October 2017 , 7pm – 12am (Doors open at 6.30pm)
