Ladies and gentlemen! The circus is about to begin at Science Centre Singapore with the Circus! Science Under The Big Top exhibition. Are you ready for a day of fun and entertainment?
Watching a circus performance is certainly a magical experience, but it isn’t magic that is making all those stunts possible. It’s science, and from now till 18 March 2018, you can find out more about the tactics that performers use when they walk on tightropes, or when they try to squeeze into an impossibly small box.
What’s more, you even get to try those exhilarating stunts yourself. You can try walking along a three-metre high cable to test your balance, attempt to fold your body in order to fit into a tiny container, or even try to perform stunts in mid-air as a harness hangs you high above the ground!
If you want to take a break from the adrenaline of hanging in the air, there will also be magic show workshops for all you aspiring magicians out there.
Be amazed at the magic of science with this interactive exhibition that’s great for the whole family. It’s always a fun time at the circus!
