One of the most anticipated music festivals in the Singapore, Baybeats Festival is a free annual music event at Esplanade Theatres that showcases the talent of both homegrown and regional musicians. This year, it will take place from 23 – 25 August 2019.
Baybeats has recently announced phase one of their lineup for their 2019 festival. The list includes local metal band Rudra, Indonesian indie-pop band Reality Club, inspirational Malaysian rapper Airliftz, local indie band The New Modern Lights, Emonightsg who is returning for their second year, and seven-piece hardcore band, I, Devotion.
Baybeats also put out another sneak peek as part of the lineup for this year. This list includes acclaimed Asian musicians, such as Slapshock from the Philippines, Wedance from Korea, Golden Mammoth from Malaysia alongside local artists such as Mean, Stopgap, as well as Shye.
Excited? Or disappointed that your favourite band isn’t in the list? Don’t be. These are just a handful of artists that will be performing at the three-day event this August. More of the acts will be released in the coming days, as well as more information on this year’s event. You know what they say, good things will come to those who wait. After all, every year of Baybeats Festival sees more than 70,000 people in attendance.
