You’ve probably heard of many dyeing methods like dip dye, tie dye and even batik, but solar dye might come as a bit of a mystery.
A completely natural method of dyeing in which sunlight is harnessed to extract colour from flowers and berries, solar dye is fun and eco-friendly. However, it’s not the easiest process to attempt so on 5 May 2018, learn from the experienced Agy as she takes you through A Hands-On Exploration into Eco Dye.

In this two-hour workshop, Agy will be providing a step-by-step tutorial on how to create your own solar dye and using it to dye a mini furoshiki handkerchief. Show off your one-of-a-kind creation by using it to wrap bento boxes or even as a little bag of sorts!
Though the session is slightly pricey, it’s worth it for a lifetime skill, right? After all, one workshop is pretty much all it takes for you to properly grasp the technique and you can then create solar dyes from the comfort of home.
The session is capped at 10 participants so sign up now to secure your own Eco Dye kit!
Date & Time: 5 May 2018, 11am – 1pm
