It is interesting how face masks have now become part of our daily outfits. Since we will be wearing them for an entire day for a while, comfort becomes an important criterion when picking a mask.
Uniqlo has heard our cries and seen our needs. Along with their well-loved AIRism line, they are launching their very own AIRism Face Mask. Known for its comfort conditioning technology, the AIRism facemask is making its debut in Uniqlo’s Japan stores on 19 June, which also happens to be the day of our Phase 2 opening.
A pack of three masks retails at 990 yen (approx. S$12.80) and is available in white only. The mask will be made available in three sizes—small, medium, and large.
With the daily use of masks, it is important for the protection gear to be washable and reusable. The AIRism mask perfectly fits the bill—it can be washed repeatedly and is fast-drying as well. So you won’t have to worry about staggering the days you leave the house for work or groceries.
Besides being effective in filtering 99% of external bacterial particles and being breathable to the wearer, the outer mesh can block 90% of ultraviolet rays. Perhaps, this also means, we can save on some sunscreen and consider applying the lotion only to the top half of our faces—if you really want to scrimp.
The Japanese apparel intends to ramp up its production to produce 500,000 packages every week and to sell them at their overseas stores. Let’s lay in anticipation for the new masks to hit our shores very soon!
