After the recent rave about The Breakup List, Toggle has a delicious new serving on hand: Patisserie Fighting! Featuring Kit Chan and Taiwanese actor Chris Lee, this eight-episode mandarin web series revolves around the ups and downs of pastry-making, and how it helps two people discover what they truly love about one another.
English subtitles are available, and this home-grown production is airing from now till late May 2017.
The actors are a special highlight in this series — with Kit Chan as a doctor turned amateur baker, See Yu Tin, and Chris Lee playing the manly and mysterious baker and mentor, Hsiao D. Their chemistry is unmistakable, with each playing off the other’s charisma masterfully.
Patisserie Fighting centers on a romance blossoming in the kitchen, and delivers it with a very heart-warming and local flavour.
The sweet part is that if you’re a Toggle premium subscriber, you’re entitled to exclusively enjoy all eight episodes! However, if you aren’t, there are already five episodes available and you just got to sit tight and wait for the rest of the mouth-watering episodes to be released.
It’ll be worth it!
