Known for showcasing arthouse films and timeless classics, The Projector is once again playing host to The Swedish Film Festival. In collaboration with the Embassy of Sweden in Singapore and The Swedish Institute, the second edition of the festival for this year will be held from 16 – 19 February, with film screenings at the indie cinema.
Bringing to you inspirational works by influential Swedish filmmaker, Roy Andersson, The Projector will feature five of his films including the debut feature A Swedish Love Story; the story about two teens falling in love, which was a critical success.
Let’s not forget his latest masterpiece, the highly acclaimed, A Pigeon Sat On A Branch Reflecting On Existence, the last of a trilogy that won the Golden Lion award at the Venice Film Festival.
Be sure to also look out for the contemporary works of Luka Moodysson, the creator behind We Are The Best! and Nice People. The former is a coming-of-age story about three girls coming together to form a punk band and the latter, a documentary that plays out like a real-life Cool Runnings.
From the heart-wrenching to the comedic, you know you’re in for a memorable experience with these specially hand-picked films.
