The most iconic Japanese music festival makes a comeback in 2017. An annual affair, this year’s edition of Summer Sonic will be a two-day event held from 19 – 20 August 2017 across two locations in different cities; Osaka’s Maishima Sonic Park and Chiba’s Zozo Marine Stadium & Makuhari Messe.
Previous headliners that have graced the stage of this event include the likes of Radiohead, Queen and Metallica, so you can imagine how big this festival is going to be.
This year, we can expect an eclectic mix of different genres with mainstream headliners like Calvin Harris and 5 Seconds of Summer playing alongside rock bands such as Babymetal, Foo Fighters and The Struts, among many others.
As with yesteryears, the festival will kick off with an all-day dance party at Sonicmania with notable names in the music industry, Kasabian and Liam Gallagher rocking the stage the day before. Interested parties can check out the line-up and get your tickets for any of the dates!
