SINGAWHORE: The Art Exhibition I Know All Of You Want To Go To From Now Till 3 Sep ’17 At Chinatown

I know you say bad things about Singapore.

All of us like to say things about our country, and if you say you don’t then you’re a liar and your pants will catch fire. A Good Citizen however, is not afraid to say, or (in this case) draw the things that we all think about before we go to bed.

The Singaporean art and illustration house that’s helmed by Dan Wong (aka Citizen Dan) churns out mostly satirical comic strips that speak about issues that hit close to home. Drawn in detail with really profane humour, his work is something that I could stare hours at.

And from 11 August – 3 September 2017, A Good Citizen will be showing off his fantastic art pieces in an aptly titled exhibition called SINGAWHORE. Get excited for satire on current topics such as our MRT’s lame situation, Khaw’s eloquent retorts aimed at the media, and the recent Ox-Lee family spat.

The free exhibition will be held at the ARTBLVK GALLERY in Chinatown, and you can even get your hands on some of the pieces to replace all the motivational cat posters you currently own.

Do note that you should come with an open mind and an appreciation for satire. If not, I guarantee you won’t have a good time.

    Dates: 11 August – 3 September 2017

    Price: Free Admission
