What started in 2013 eventually became an annual affair, and now, the Singapore Art Book Fair (SABF) is back for its fifth edition, which will be held at Gillman Barracks from 28 to 30 April 2017.
Specialising in contemporary art books and zines, there is said to be more diversity in terms of international exhibitors, as well as up and coming artists this year.
Art book enthusiasts would be pleased to find that there are plenty of local catalogues and design-centric books, alongside international publications from countries such as Japan, South Korea and Indonesia.
On top of that, you can also expect to participate in other art-related fringe activities including film screenings, workshops and talks.
To kick off the fair, a special opening night will take place on 27 April 2017 with a live performance by singer-songwriter Kelly Raphaelle. In addition, poets from the Proletariat Poetry Factory will be writing customisable poetry on actual typewriters at the event.
With an eclectic mix of publishers, this might be the biggest book fair they have organised yet! For more details, head over to Singapore Art Book Fair’s official website.
