You may have been to numerous galleries and exhibits in Singapore, but have you visited the National Museum’s first digital gallery?
The Art of the Rehearsal is a multimedia exhibit by Sarah Choo, featured in Gallery10, the first digital gallery to grace the National Museum of Singapore. It’s open from 10am – 5pm daily, but will be open from only 10am – 12pm from 28 April to 31 July 2017.
This particular exhibit features a video installation of rows of shophouses, in which various ethnic dancers rigorously practise their craft.
Rather than focusing on the final product which is the finished dance, the artist aims to showcase a different perspective by showcasing the hours of training and hard work every dancer needs to put in.
One thing that’s different about this exhibit is that you are allowed to bring food and drinks in. You can also enjoy your snacks while chilling on the beanbags in the exhibit.
So if you’re looking to chill and appreciate some art, head down to Gallery10 for the Art of the Rehearsal.
