Korea seems to never run out of adorable, quirky products. This time they’ve gone above and beyond (literally) with this giant cat balloon planted in the centre of Seoul’s Olympic Park.
Setup by South Korean’s SK Telecom on 13 August, Seoul’s Olympic Park and Yeoido Park transforms into a temporary augmented-reality (AR) zoo as part of their summer celebrations and also to showcase their latest AR app.
Aside from the giant cat, red pandas, corgis and alpacas figures are scattered throughout the grounds.
All you have to do is download the ‘Jump AR’ application on your phone to let all the animals ‘come to life’ via AR. Thousands of fur strands of a giant cat running at full speed can be a reality on your phone!
Once you’ve had your fair share of fun and getting all the content for your ‘gram, stay till the sun goes down to see the animals light up against the Seoul skyline.
This AR experience will only be in the Olympic park and Yeoido park but will extend out to other major national parks in Korea like Daejwon, Daegu and Gwangju.
