Just in time for the September holidays, Siloso Beach Sentosa plays host to the annual Sandsation event which features the most sublime sand sculptures.
Last year, we were introduced to our favourite Marvel superheroes. This time, we’ve got visitors from a galaxy far far away to look forward to!
20 iconic Star Wars characters will land on our beaches, thanks to the talented hands of established local and international artists; including our own sand-sation JOOheng Tan.
Visitors can look forward to daily sand sculpting workshops where you can learn the basics of sand sculpting from a master-sculptor on a first-come-first-serve basis.
You can even enjoy a live demonstration of master sculptor Tan Joo Heng’s skills as he brings C3P0, R2D2 and many other characters to life.
During the event, be awed by the range of talent showcased throughout the Sentosa International Sculpting Competition where the world’s best sand masters compete to create fantastic sand art masterpieces in addition to the Star Wars sand exhibits.
In addition to it being a family-friendly event, Star Wars fans can head down to grab exclusive Star Wars-themed merchandise such as glow-in-the-dark T-shirts and customisable tote bags!
Free movie screenings will be held from 7.45pm on the August 31, September 1, 14 and 15 so your whole family can enjoy a full-day out at the beach on those days too.
The best part is, entrance into Sentosa will be free during the entire duration of the event.
Besides, if you’re looking for a relaxing day, the beach is a shore bet.
