I have a thing for local stand-up comedians – I like how they are uncompromising, curt and often display an accurate (but hilarious) representation of real-life scenarios or situations.
If you’ve been to last year’s Happy Ever Laughter (2016), you would have probably noticed one of the few “rookies”, Sharul Channa (cue ‘Namaste’). This sassy comedienne will be cracking up the Theatre @The Substation on 8, 10 and 11 March 2017, with a gig cheekily called Pottymouth.
Sharul was notably the first Singaporean to be selected for ‘Comedy Zone Asia’ by the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2016. She’s performed all over the world, and her upcoming show is in line with International Women’s Week.
Expect yourself to bowl over with laughter as the feisty Sharul recounts her life story, from her parents’ move from India to Singapore and all the issues that came with it. Get your tickets now for a fantastic night of comedy!
Dates & Time: 8, 10 & 11 March 2017, 8pm – 9.20pm
