Been to Resorts World Sentosa lately? It’s insane how much is going on on that tiny island. The S.E.A Aquarium is definitely one of the must-sees and if you’re planning a visit soon, you’re in for a special treat.
The Pokemon Research Exhibition is showing there and this is its first time outside of Japan!
I don’t think we’re short of Pokemon fans in Singapore so this is exciting news. From 22nd Oct 2016 – 2nd Jan 2017, put your Pokemon knowledge to the test with this interactive exhibition and see if you truly are the very best like no one ever was.
You’ll start by choosing your difficulty level: Regular (Poke Ball), Difficult (Great Ball) and Extra Difficult (Ultra Ball).
Being the noob that I am, I obviously went for the Poke Ball and it thankfully came with an accompanying Observation Notebook to help me out.
Each Poke Ball contains a Pokemon and your mission is to find out which one.
You’ll manage this by choosing to participate at different Observation Machines which will give you the relevant clues about your Pokemon. There are eight in total, but you have to be strategic because you can only pick four.
Stations like the Footprint Collector and Appearance Analyzer will help you analyze the unique characteristics and features of your mystery Pokemon.
Some stations are more interactive than others, like the Outline Shooter which requires you to run on the spot to reveal the clue. Now that’s what I call dedication to the mission.
When you think you’ve finally got it, head to the Answer Checker to see if you’re right! I got mine on my first try *flips hair*. Of course it was a Sylveon hiding in there all along…
My mission was over but it was only then that I realised how much I didn’t know. The world of Pokemon is HUGE and I spent a good bit of time staring at the Pokedex Wall in disbelief.
The fun doesn’t just end there though; Pikachu makes an appearance five times a day! Meet and greet the famous Pokemon and get a photo at these times: 11.30am, 1.30pm, 2.30pm, 4.30pm and 5.30pm.
I’m a sucker for the merchandise section and I can attest to this one being very well stocked indeed. I mean, a Pikachu lunch box? TAKE MY MONEY.
