Pokémon is probably one of the most iconic gaming series of all times, making its presence known on games, televisions and the big screen. Originating from Japan, Pokémon has become a global phenomenon over the past decades. For travelers dropping at Haneda airport, get a special treat as Tokyo Monorail has launched a special edition Pokémon Monorail which will connect Haneda Airport with Tokyo city.

This monorail carriage will feature remarkable designs from the global franchise where it is themed after the characters of Pokémon from various generations.

Some examples of Pokémon include Pikachu, Pokémon’s most famous character, and there are other famous starters such as Charmander and Bulbasaur as well, plastered around the interior carriage. Take a snapshot of these characters appearing on the carriage designs and if you are a fan of Pokémon, this is one experience you will not want to miss.

This special monorail service will run until the end of June 2020 and there is no fixed schedule for the monorail to appear, so do count yourself lucky if you are able to see one and board it during your transit. Visitors will be able to use the Pokémon Monorail to get to any of the 11 stops on the Yamanote line from Haneda Airport.
