Pokemon Centre Singapore has finally opened its doors in Jewel Changi Airport, and it was a big hit amongst fans on the preview day.
It is the only outlet outside of Japan, and the anticipation has already been building since the opening was announced, so it wasn’t a surprise to see a snaking queue to get in. Do expect an even longer waiting time on Jewel’s official opening this 17 April 2019.
For the uninitiated, every Pokemon Centre has its very own mascot, and Singapore’s outlet features an adorable Pikachu riding on Lapras.
Walk further into the store and you’ll find a magnificent Gyarados to take pictures with, in between shopping for merch.
If you’re looking to bring home a Pokemon, you’ll want to get your hands on the Singapore-exclusive Pikachu Bag Charm (S$18) looking dapper and cheery in pilot and cabin crew uniforms bearing the abbreviation for Singapore.
Flanking the walls of the Pokemon Centre Singapore are the first generation Pokemon plushies peeking out of the shelves. Take it from me: you will be hard-press to leave empty-handed.
Relive childhood days by collecting and trading Pokemon Cards again.
And you can count on Pokemon Centre Singapore to rejuvenate for your skin with these cute face masks (S$7.90) after running around catching Pokemon to expand your Pokedex. Especially now that we’re inching closer to the Pokemon Go event.
