The highly anticipated console from Nintendo has finally received a confirmed release date and price. Set to launch worldwide on 3 March 2017, the Switch (US$300, around SGD$426) is widely acknowledged as the console that will save Nintendo’s struggling console sales.
Games that are slated for simultaneous release with the console include The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Just Dance and Skylanders Imaginators. Other exciting games like Super Mario Odyssey and Splatoon 2 won’t be released until later in the year.
Pre-order slots are filling up fast, with US retailers like Gamestop, Walmart, Amazon, Target and Best Buy already listing the console as unavailable only three days after pre-orders started.
One of the major go-to game shops in Singapore, Qisahn, has already sold out on its first wave of pre-orders! So if you’re interested in getting one, you might want to head down to one of Toy Or Game’s physical stores to pre-order soon.
