Calling all hardcore runners and fitness gurus!
Singapore’s first full-fledged Ekiden relay race, Mizuno Ekiden 2017 will be happening on 19 August 2017 and it is definitely not for the faint-hearted. Unlike Instagram-worthy running events with cool music and other fancy props, Mizuno Ekiden is a relay race that requires four members per team.
It’s a race that tests the endurance, stamina, and most importantly, the team spirit of each group. The distance ranges from 21.1 km to 42.195 km for the Open Category, which breaks down to about 5 km – 10 km per runner.
Race aside, the Matsuri (祭り) Festival race village serves up delicious Japanese food and it is open to the public. On top of that, participants get to enjoy 30% off Mizuno products. Time to upgrade your fitness wardrobe with the Japanese fitness apparel.
