The West isn’t just all about ice-skating anymore. Let ’em Play has recently opened at Tradehub 21 and now gives you an easy and accessible option of something new to do!
Let ’em Play by The WOW Experience not only has Singapore’s very first Augmented Reality Wall, but also houses a two-storey high, kid-friendly indoor high elements obstacle course.
Augmented Reality Climbing Wall
We’ve heard of indoor rock climbing… but Augmented Reality (AR) Climbing? Well, to put it simply, it’s bouldering made much more exciting. With options to play individually or as a team, the AR wall at Let ’em Play offers four exciting games to level up your climbing experience.
Climball was first on our agenda. Competitive or Cooperative games are available for an interactive team activity – you have to figure out how to artistically hang on the wall with free hands and legs to tap on the moving pin balls to keep the game going.
For kids and novices, the simpler option of Whack-A-Bat is definitely a thrill! With bats appearing from various sides of the wall, you have to find your way across or up and down the wall to whack the bat before it disappears.
For experienced climbers, further challenge yourself with the self-created Augmented Problems.
Using an interactive touch-screen panel, you can create personalised climbing routes and compete with your friends for the fastest timing.
Additionally, the time-limited Sparks Challenge would be a blast for experienced climbers. In order to prevent getting zapped by the moving borders, nimbly travel across, up or down the wall. There are at least 20 options (kids, static, dynamic, custom) for you to choose from.
Something really special about the AR experience is that you can also track and replay videos of your remarkable feats. You can either choose to save it in the system or send it to your phones.
The AR wall was truly an interactive climbing experience that proved to be much more engaging and physically demanding as compared to the usual vertical rock climbing.
Indoor High Elements
After the AR wall, we decided to give the Indoor High Elements a try. It looked pretty straightforward when we were looking up at the whole structure…
It ended up being a one-of-a-kind experience especially for myself, since the last time I engaged in such a high-element course was probably during my mandatory OBS days. Remember to grip tight, embrace the shakiness and tighten your harness for a thrilling obstacle course!
The first level elements are mostly targeted at parent-children pairs. For children five years of ages and above, he/she would be more than able to scale the heights on the child-friendly obstacles.
Indoor Climbing
Get ready for a fun-filled afternoon as there are also four other Vertical Climbing Activities offered at Let ’em Play, which are both kids and youth friendly.
I would say that the Speed Climbing has got to be the most exciting option – with a system that’s auto-belayed, you can continuously have a go at beating your previous timing! However, the difficulty level may not suit the taste of experienced climbers as the wall structures are mostly on the easy side.

Let ’em Play is not only somewhere that’s suitable for team-bonding or family outings, but also an option for educational and corporate activities. Events such as robotics or games like Running Man could also be held at Let ’em Play with the help of the friendly coordinators there.
