In case you haven’t noticed this series of events on your Facebook feed, PRESSPLAY, an initiative by the National Library Board, is culminating this year’s arts festival with one final event – Lastplay.
Head down to the National Library Singapore from 9pm to 1am for the finale event which will feature live performances, interactive booths and various food and beverages.
Oh, did I mention that there’ll be a GIF animated photo booth at the event too? Who knew libraries could be this cool?!
Local artistes like Abby Simone, Stopgap and M1LDL1FE will hype up the atmosphere with their energetic performances and tunes. Participants can also get hands-on and crafty with activities like paper marbling and five stones sewing.
Those who adore old-school typewriters will be pleased to know that Typewriter In Residence will be making an appearance too. If you’re not an artsy person, don’t fret as there’ll be Old School Games to participate in too!
PRESSPLAY is an annual arts festival dedicated to youths and young adults. This year, the festival featured a series of complimentary workshops and performances held at various local libraries.
Most workshops are over but there are still four available workshops, which will be held on 10 March 2018.
Choose from options like mastering film photography, learning pottery, trying your hand at embroidery or making your own soy candle. Registrations begin from 1 March.
No registration is required to join in the last hurrah at Lastplay but do RSVP if you intend to attend.
If you’re as bummed as I am about missing all these free and interesting workshops, no worries as PRESSPLAY will return again next year!
Date & Time: 10 March 2018, 8pm – 12am
