Too broke to fly to Japan? Same. All the more reason for you to pop by Singapore’s largest Japan Summer Festival happening on 7th and 8th September 2019.
The festival is happening in conjunction with Singapore Sports Hub’s community playday.
Look forward to over 100 authentic Japanese stalls – think Japanese food and snacks, traditional games and multiple merchandise booths.

Running from 12pm to 9pm on both days, there’ll be all day stage performances for you to enjoy. In addition, you’ll be able to try your hand at Japan’s traditional Bon-Odori dance and some of their Japanese heritage games.

To add to the experience, pay S$15 (deposit of S$35 required) to rent a yukata (summer kimono) on a first come first serve basis.
If there aren’t enough Pokemon in your life already, join Pikachu as he struts his stuff during the festival at the Pokemon Carnival and Dance Parade.
There might not be real Sakura blossoms at this festival but I’m sure the festivities will keep you more than occupied.
I mean, if udon try, you won’t know what other cool cultural Japanese bits you’re missing out on!
