Instagram is one space where weird and magical makeup trends emerge from. The latest makeup trend that has taken the Internet by storm is Toilet Paper Lips. Yes, we all know that toilet paper is meant for a different set of lips but who can say no to this iridescent beauty?
This look was created by beauty Instagrammer, Gretta Agazzi, who specialises in lip art that highlights texture. Inspired by how toilet paper is used in special effects makeup to create texture underneath the base, she attempted to duplicate a crinkly tissue paper look.
If you want to jump on the bandwagon, here are the steps. First, you have to trim the toilet paper to fit your lips, then slather on lash glue for it to stick. Next, use a toothpick to arrange it in an artful manner. The final step is to paint your lips using sparkly lipstick. If you don’t have any, you can use normal lipstick and add glitter to it.
While Instagram Toilet Paper Lips may be too much for an everyday look, this would be fun to create for a crazy night out. I would love for my lips to resemble the shine of unicorn horns but this appears uncomfortable as well as drying for the lips so I’m still sitting on the fence.
