Innisfree’s new Vivid Cotton Stick #MutedNeutral Collection boasts easy-to-wear pinks

I remember being heavily reliant on Innisfree products back when I was living in Seoul, Korea. You could always count on the brand for high-quality, pretty, and affordable products—a haven for the beauty-loving student like me. I’ve always kept my eye out for Innisfree’s adorable collaborations, like the ones with Wheniwasfour and BT21.

This September, Innisfree is rolling out something more suitable for everyday wear—an all-new Vivid Cotton Stick Collection featuring 10 meutral (muted and neutral) shades that are easy to wear and pair with your day-to-day outfits.

The Vivid Cotton Stick boasts a novel hybrid of a lip tint and a lipstick. Literally fusing the best of both worlds when it comes to coloured lips. You’ll get the creaminess of lipstick while also enjoying the pigmentation of a lip tint—all that without over-drying your puckers.

I was pleasantly surprised at how pigmented the lipsticks were, especially since Korean makeup brands have long been notorious for their painfully light pigmentation.

The application

As someone who is hopelessly untalented in the makeup department and hence prefers spending as little time as possible on my daily routine, I always look for effortlessness in my products. These lipsticks were buttery smooth in their application, and the whole process took all but two swatches.

My personal favourite shade was 4 Red Bean Pink because god knows, all a girl needs to power through the day is muted pink lips and an iced oat milk latte. I’d say that Red Bean Pink pairs well with most skin tones, and is automatically flattering to the wearer.
