Relieve your childhood playlist of rock and roll songs— Green Day will return to Singapore shores on 8 March 2020 to perform after 10 years since their last appearance here, as part of their global tour.
Singapore will be the first stop of the American rock band’s Asian leg for this tour, where the band will be promoting their upcoming 13th album Father Of All… at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The other Asian countries Green Day will be performing at include Bangkok, Manila, Taipei, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. This 2020 tour will kicks off The Hella Mega Tour, which goes around Europe, the UK and North America alongside Weezer and Fall Out Boy.
Green Day was formed in 1986 consisting of lead vocalist/guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tre Cool. Their illustrious career spans 33 years which includes five Grammy Awards and an induction into Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame, alongside the sales of 85 million records worldwide.
The twelve albums that they have released have spawned multiple hits which includes Basket Case, When I Come Around, American Idiot, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Wake Me Up When September Ends and 21 Guns. Their latest album might add to this collection of hits when it comes out on 7 February 2020.
General sales in Singapore have been slated to begin on 20 September 2020, with more details on VIP packages to be announced along with the prices by concert promoter Lushington Entertainments.
