Cheers, loves! This year’s Overwatch World Cup is here! Blizzard Entertainment has announced the start of preparations for this highly-anticipated event so if you haven’t experienced enough thrills from the Overwatch SEA Tournament, here’s an opportunity to get some more.
From now till 25 April 2017, you can help Singapore be one of the 32 nations to be selected for the World Cup.
The selection is based on the average rating of the top 100 players in each country but that doesn’t mean everyone else isn’t involved, though. All other players also have a role in this by voting for their favourite representatives in April. This allows each community to have a say in who gets to play for their home countries.
If Singapore remains one of the top 32 by 25 April (we’re ranked 22 now, yay!), we get to send a team in and hopefully they’ll make us proud during the grand finals at BlizzCon 2017, Blizzard’s annual game convention.
Until then, there’s plenty of time for you to make it into the top 100 yourself – remember, the world could always use more heroes!
Dates: Country ranking ends 25 April 2017, other dates to be confirmed
