Balenciaga, the Spanish luxury fashion house has launched the Balenciaga Ephemeral Shop in Singapore.
From 9-12 January 2020, the Singapore Balenciaga store will offer on-site bag customisations.
Look forward to cool customisations as these bags will be decorated by graffiti artists. Customisation options include the customers first name, initials or birthdate. Allowing you to have a unique and personalised one of a kind piece. Given the endless selection of bags from this luxury brand, I’m sure there will be many interesting combinations of bag and design that will be shown off on Instagram soon.
Hat’s off to this luxury brand, as they went from an unapproachable Avant-Gard fashion house to one that appeals to the masses with their current streetwear style. The luxury brand is known for its handbags and shoes, such as the Speed Sock and the Triple S Sneaker.
One of the bags available for customisation will be the new Balenciaga hourglass in multiple sizes and options.
As the Balenciaga Ephemeral Shop is launched globally, cities such as Los Angeles, Paris, Dubai, Beijing, Tokyo and Osaka will have temporary pop-ups featuring rugged and tagged looking transit stops on busy streets, appearing industrial with buffed out scratches and scrawls.
I can already imagine bags that have the same colours as street signs or pavements after being tagged will remind me of urban landscapes like a construction zone or a heavily graffiti decorated wall.
