Avengers: Endgame is perhaps the most anticipated movie of the year with thousands of Singaporeans queueing up online to purchase the tickets. Now, before you dive into this highly-acclaimed movie, there are seven things to do to better enjoy Avengers: End-Game.
1. Rewatch Avengers: Civil War & Avengers: Infinity War

Though it’s best to rewatch all the Marvel movies leading up to the Avengers: Endgame but who has time for that right? Hence, the directors of Endgame has advised all Marvel fans to rewatch Avengers: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War as these movies have the biggest lead-in to Endgame.
Civil War is relevant as it divided the Avengers and made them more susceptible to defeat, and Infinity War as it was the prequel to Endgame.
2. Understand Doctor Strange Actions

Recap: Doctor Strange surrendered the powerful Time Stone to Thanos to save Tony Stark’s (Ironman) life, despite repeatedly insisting that he wouldn’t do so. This was what that gave Thanos the power to wipe out half the universe.

For those who aren’t aware, Doctor Strange visited the future during the Infinity War final battle using the time stone to see how the Avengers could win against Thanos. Unwillingly, he explained that there is only one way the Avengers could defeat him out of 14,000,605 possible outcomes. Yet despite so, Doctor Strange chose to surrender the Time Stone to Thanos.
Explanation: He saw the future and realised that preserving Tony Stark’s (Ironman) life was the requirement for the Avengers to defeat Thanos. Hence, I’m convinced that Doctor Strange’s plan was to keep Ironman alive as he is vital in defeating Thanos
3. Investigate The Mysterious “I Have Telepathy” Voice In The Recent Avengers: Endgame Trailer
The recent Avengers: Endgame thriller drove netizens crazy when they heard a hidden message in the background. According to most, they heard Captain Marvel saying “I have telepathy” when Thor walked towards her menacingly. Try to hear it for yourself, listen intently between 0:46 – 0:51.
Does this mean that the already formidable Captain Marvel has a new power which we don’t even know of?
4. Return Of Antman & His Value To The Team

If you recall, Antman entered the Quantum realm to collect healing particles for Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) and has successfully does so. But he failed to get out as Hank, Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) have all been dusted when Thanos snapped his fingers. This questions his presence in the fight against Thanos.
Our burning questions are answered when he appeared again in the Avengers: Endgame thriller. We can be certain that he will be an MVP in saving the Avengers considering that he is the only one that understands time travel — an asset that the Avengers need.
5. Understand Hulk’s Absence In Infinity War

You might have been scratching your heads as to why Hulk didn’t appear during Infinity War except at the beginning of the movie where he was thrashed by Thanos. Many speculated that it was due to Hulk’s trauma of going up against the formidable Thanos.

It certainly seems so considering how badly he was defeated in the beginning. But the directors of Endgame debunked this by saying that Hulk was tired of always coming to Bruce Banner’s rescue every time. Hence, their relationship is becoming increasingly dysfunctional. Let’s watch if Bruce can patch things up, as the absence of Hulk is crucial to the Avengers.
6. Goose, The Cat In Captain Marvel & Its Role

In Captain Marvel, an adorable cat named Goose was able to swallow the Tesseract and can unleash tentacles from its mouth to fight off bad guys. Goose is actually an alien species called Flerken that holds the secrets to space and dimensions travel. Could this be a means for Avengers to go back in time to undo their mistakes?
7. Expect Captain Marvel To Crash The Party

If you have been tuning in to all of Endgame‘s trailers or watched Captain Marvel, this is a no-brainer. Expect the mighty presence of Captain Marvel as she was contacted by Nick Fury before he turned to dust towards the end of Infinity War. If you thought that she was too overly-powerful back in the Captain Marvel movie, then you are in for a treat for her battle with Thanos.
