I remember when I was a kid, I thought the RED edition iPods were the coolest, simply because it was so rare to see them out on the streets. When I got a little older and realised that the money raised from the sale of the iPods were all donated to global HIV/AIDS grants, it certainly made me want one even more. iPods aren’t that useful to me now so I never got down to buying my red iPod, but a red iPhone definitely works. This is the first time ever that Apple is launching their iPhones in the special RED…

If you’re always taking cabs or Ubers everywhere you go, Swatmobile is the newest app you need to have. Instead of paying fares based off the meter or surge pricing, how does a $5 flat fee for any distance sound? By using small vans to ferry passengers, it allows Swatmobile to offer rides at prices that are much cheaper than taxis or other ride sharing apps. The only catch is that you have to be within Swatmobile’s current operating geosphere and book a ride within the operating hours of 7am – 10am on weekdays. Since it’s constantly expanding though, it’s just a matter…

There have been a lot of crazy beauty trends in the past; blood facials, Nutella face masks and more, but Dermaplaning is one of the newer ones. It might sound a bit weird to scrape your skin with a razor blade, but compared to putting blood on your face, I’d opt for the razor (in the hands of a professional of course). Dermaplaning is the process of running a razor blade across your skin to remove dead skin cells and all the fine hairs on your face that trap oil and dirt. This results in glowing and super smooth skin,…

Instead of having to run while listening to the breathing of other runners, revel in the glorious sound of music being played by 120 speakers over the length of the 5km run. You even get to…

Most art galleries tend to be a bit dull; you walk around ooh-ing and ah-ing at the artworks and sculptures, but after awhile everything starts to look the same. With the new digital gallery (Gallery10) that was launched on 31 Jan 2017 at the National Museum of Singapore however, you’ll get to see art merged with history, presented in a fresh new way through the use of technology. Hokkaido might be in the middle of winter right now, but that just makes it all the more perfect for you to catch this amazing phenomenon. The mouth of the Tokachi River freezes and breaks apart, causing ice chunks (now called Jewel Ice) to float and land ashore on Hokkaido’s beaches during late January to mid February. This happens every year, but the occurrence has gone particularly viral on Instagram and Twitter this 2017. It might be a bit of a rush to try and get plane tickets to see it this year, but if you’re dead set on going, there are plenty…
