Asian Film Focus 2017: “Time Machine”, A Collection Of Short Films At Objectifs From 12 – 15 July

“Eleven Men” By Nguyen Trinh Thi (2016)

Ah, the annual Asian Film Focus Festival returns to Objectifs once again. Themed “Time Machine” this year, the programme will run from 12 – 15 July 2017 and will feature independent short films from content creators based in Vietnam, India, the Philippines, and Singapore.

Revolving around the chosen theme, these selected films will not only allow viewers a glimpse into the past but also, ponder about what the future holds. All while encouraging the creation and appreciation of the short film genre, which is undoubtedly cinema’s most democratic and expressive form.

Aside from that, curators will also be participating in free dialogue sessions where they will discuss this year’s theme and delve deeper into the filmmaking landscape. Audience members who are keen on attending can learn more about the line-up of the different screenings.
