The Aimé Leon Dore X New Balance 827 collaboration has long been highly anticipated. Teddy Santis’s eye for modernising retro silhouettes is displayed yet again in this phenomenal collaboration. Coming in three colourways and several complementary apparel styles, this latest release grapples you with its tasteful colour palettes.
The Aimé Leon Dore X New Balance 827 composes of synthetic suede overlays and mesh underlays coupled with multi-colour detailing. The sneaker also features a white Abzorb midsole and a colourful outsole that perfectly contrast with one another. Finally, it fashions webbing details with a reflective print that completes the design.
However, the fun doesn’t end there as there’s a whole clothing line that matches with the shoes immaculately.
Their apparel boasts bold colours that complement the retro-inspired sneakers. Bright tonal hues of yellow, blue, red and green inform much of the clothing range. Some of the key items include polar fleece snap button shirt-jackets, hooded nylon windbreakers as well as track pants. On another end of their collection, neutral monochrome shades and gentle oatmeal makes its mark various hoodies, sweaters and sweatpants.
The collaboration stylizes confidence with bold colours and gives you a wide selection of clothing to select to meet the dress code requirements of your differing daily events. I’d never dare to even try to wear these colours out, but the sheer simplicity and sleekness of the designs make it hard to resist.
The sneakers were released exclusively online at the Aimé Leon Dore website on 13 March 2020 whereas the apparel was released on the same day both online and in their New York Flagship store. The shoes retailed for US$150(approxS$216.70) but resale prices have gone up quite a fair bit on StockX.
If I were you, I’d be dying to get my hands on the collection. Not just because of its utter exclusivity but also due to how stylish the entire line looks. I’m sure you’ll be the envy of your friends if they catch you walking around in such a bold style.
