Chinese New Year 2017 is fast approaching and we all know red is the colour to wear if you want to have good fortune for the year ahead. If you’re like me and you’re always doing CNY shopping at the very last minute, I’m guessing you’re panicking slightly about what shoes to match with your outfit.

Hardcore sneaker-heads may remember the recent surprise launch of the Adidas Ultra Boost 3.0 CNY 2017 edition on the Adidas website. The special edition sold out in minutes on the site but I have excellent news! You can still get a pair of them at Saints.com.sg – it takes 7 – 10 working days for delivery.

The special CNY edition Ultra Boost 3.0 ($399) features a full multi-colour primeknit upper in red, black accents along the ankle and toe box, a black criss-cross overlay and heel counter, multi-colour laces and a full BOOST midsole with a black rubber outsole.

For the finishing touch, the shoe tongue gets marked with a modern CNY motif, while the use of blood red anglets up the huat factor. You may really need all your ang pow money after this splurge but hey, the shoes maketh the man no?
