Already itching for a new pair of kicks? This new sneaker collaboration by Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz and Italian fashion house, Versace might just help you put your best foot forward this 2018.
Aptly called the Chain Reaction, this sneaker was designed to follow the latest trend on chunky and loud shoes; Balenciaga came out with the Triple S not too long ago, which was also a bulky shoe.
So it seems like high-end fashion houses are hopping on the bandwagon, but the Chain Reaction is probably the most fancy-looking one yet.
The wild shoe will feature bright animal prints and bold details like Versace-patterned aesthetics on the toe-box. For those who prefer to be more low-key, there are simpler colours available.
The undisputed highlight of the sneaker is the chain-link sole, which is something I’ve never seen before. Honestly, I think it looks awesome, even if the other parts of the shoe might look a little gaudy.
The price of the sneaker hasn’t been unveiled yet, but don’t expect it to be in the affordable range. There’s also no confirmed release date at the moment, although it’s speculated to drop in March 2018.
