I’ve always made it a point to catch movies or plays in cinemas and theatres whenever I am overseas. Not only as a form of entertainment but also as a glimpse of the country’s culture and tradition. In other words, it’s a unique experience.
If you are heading to Japan, you are in luck. Asia’s first 360 Degrees Revolving Theatre – IHI Stage Around Tokyo – is situated in Japan’s gorgeous capital, Tokyo.
Featuring a huge circular seating platform, you’ll find yourself surrounded by stages and screens. But that’s not all – the stage even rotates. Interweaving the dynamic stage with the screen, lighting and music, you are almost guaranteed an immersive and wholly unique experience.
From now till 12 June 2017, the massive 1300-seater theatre will be showcasing Gekidan Shinkansen‘s Seven Souls in the Skull Castle. Plan a visit and be enthralled by Japan’s stage plays as well as its chanbara (sword fighting) in the revolving theatre.
It’s an experience to remember!
