With catchy rhythms in the background and creative incorporation of the daily tasks in the videos, these TikTok snippets are extremely relatable and addictive to watch. They’re short, sweet and very often great comedic content.
Switching focus to a more serious note, TikTok—the leading destination for short-form mobile video—is pledging their support for Earth Hour. As a part of the global initiative to raise awareness on environmental issues, the social media platform encourages users around the world to participate in the Earth Hour by switching off non-essential electric lights for one hour on 28 March 2020 at 8.30 pm local time.
The TikTok community can showcase videos on environmental consciousness and making a positive impact on the planet. They can spruce up their creative videos with the app-dedicated #EarthHour hashtags and specially customized Earth Hour stickers when sharing the videos.
Viewers can take part in a special Earth Hour quiz to flaunt their knowledge and awareness on environmental issues. The quiz is available from 25 March 2020 onwards and completing the quiz will earn users an online certificate as a “Planet Ambassador”.
