The Superga brand is no stranger to collaboration. From Drea Chong to ambassador Alexa Chung, it has continuously brought timeless designs to the consumer market.
On the other hand, home-grown fashion label LoveBonito has seen itself expand from an online business to opening its largest brick-and-mortar store at the newly revamped Funan Mall. They also launched their first pop-up in Hong Kong, and introduced ‘Studio’, the brand’s more luxe and upmarket diffusion line.
It is this parallel ideology on catering to the multi-faceted Asian woman that birthed the Superga X LoveBonito partnership. Building on the classic Superga 2750 silhouette, the two brands were inspired to create wearable yet fashion-forward designs that women could pull-off on any occasion.
The new collection features two distinct designs—a laser cut and a scallop trim. The Superga X LoveBonito Laser Cut sneakers is available in two colourways; blush pink and seashell grey. Laser-cut motifs accentuate the heel and the toe of this PU leather sneaker.
The Superga X LoveBonito Scallop Trim sneakers are available in mustard yellow and white. The delicate scallop trim detail can be seen along the edges of the shoe tongue as well as the side panels.
In conceptualising the designs for the sneakers, they made sure the colourways complemented every skin tone. My colleague Gillian and I were spoilt for choice due to the versatility of the colours. Despite our style differences, we were both able to find a pair that fit our daily wardrobe—mustard yellow for me, blush pink for her. I was especially grateful that the collection was minimalistic and adaptable, thus avoiding the hassle and stress of planning a new set of outfits to match the sneakers.
Along with the new sneaker collection, LoveBonito created complementary outfits featuring new, vibrant in-house designed prints that embody their cult-favourite silhouettes. These dynamic prints will certainly add a splash of colour into your everyday wear. The collection also allows you to dress up or down, especially when paired with the Superga collaboration sneakers.

The Superga X LoveBonito limited-edition sneakers retail at S$89.90 a pair and will launch globally at all LoveBonito stores across Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia on the 27th of September 2019.
