Steampunk fashion incorporates the essence of 19th-century industrial technology and the neo-victorian aesthetic. Japan, being massively creative, elevates it further at Steam Garden – the biannual event held in Tokyo.
Celebrating its 5th anniversary this coming 1 & 2 April 2017 in Harajuku, Tokyo, enthusiasts can visit an alternative world combining the Japanese “Taisho Romantic” style with Dieselpunk.
Participants can also lose themselves in the various street performances and live music from the era as well as booths selling retro gadgets, fashion accessories and so on.
If you’re taking a trip to Japan, why not take a break from the cherry blossom viewing and witness another side of her diverse culture.
