A business idea conceived during a kopi session, the Hoops Factory materialized in 2010 and has since expanded to a chain of stores around the island, bringing basketball aficionados their favourite accessories and everything to do with the sport.

The newly opened Bugis Junction outlet is a little like Willy Wonka’s Factory for sneakerheads. The footwear is displayed on the wall according to colour, ranging from favourite brands like Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour.

Name it and you’ll find it at Limited Edt, well most of it anyway, as the brand strives to bring in the latest and limited edition sneakers from the UK and US.

The Pedder on Scotts boutique is laden with about 100 luxury, contemporary and sports brands. The products range from footwear to bags and fashion accessories from around the world.

You’ve got to be joking if you’ve never heard of Leftfoot. Started in 2003, I remember entering the shop and wanting every single item on the shelves.
