You may have already heard of poetry on the bus and poetry on the MRT, so what’s next? Get ready for SingPoOnTheBoat!
Held to conclude the annual Singapore Poetry Writing Month (SingPoWriMo), this event follows a series of poetry readings in unconventional venues. With previous events taking place on the MRT and then SBS buses, they’ve decided to go off-road for this year’s event.
This 30 June 2018, set sail from Marina South Pier and journey past the various islets around the Lion City!
The highlight isn’t setting foot on those islands though, but to read and share poems on the ferry. So get ready for sonnets about Pulau Hantu, odes to Tekong, and ballads of the Merlion’s travels.

Trust me, this poetic sea voyage is worth taking on. Challenge your perspectives and transform the way you see Singapore!
